Mushroom House

The five Mushroom Houses at Rùa’s House Mountain Hamlet are built in the traditional trình tường style of the Hà Nhì people. The walls are made from a mix of earth, freshly harvested rice straw, lime powder, and a special local paint, all kneaded and pressed by hand, then dried under the sun into a rich marsala red that glows with warmth.
Inside, the walls are lined with pinewood, and each house holds a large bed wrapped in bedding to match the earthy marsala tones. Simple, snug, and filled with the gentle soul of the highlands.
Through the glass doors of the Mushroom House, the whole valley unfolds before your eyes - a sea of clouds drifting gently by, or endless waves of golden rice fields, all wrapped in a quiet 360-degree embrace of sky and earth.
